OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERASweater: old, but I love this one with a leopard print on it! | Skirt: similar that’s pleated, and another that’s grey… both super cheap! | Booties: Vince Camuto | Bag: Louis Vuitton, similar! | Sunnies: Prada

About this look:

Hi folks, sometimes you just gotta get your hippie on and today’s that day for me! There’s something so nice about trading skinny jeans and tee-shirt for an oversized sweater and long flowing skirt! Also, not that it matters, but this type of relaxed outfit is a street style favorite amongst some of the top models and bloggers this season, especially those of the Parisian and Londoner variety.

What I did:

I paired a long sweater that wasn’t too baggy, but wasn’t tight with a skirt that is fitted on top and is a little more free-flowing at the bottom.

An outfit like this is always scary because one wrong piece of clothing and it makes you look like a stereotypical homeschooler.

But don’t worry, it’s not as hard as it seems to achieve the perfect balance between the “I don’t care because God sees the heart” style and a polished outfit!

… I’m not insulting the fact that God sees the heart. I can’t tell you how important that is. Beauty is nothing on the outside if it’s not also on the inside. And of course, God sees the heart so that’s hugely important. But there ain’t no harm in lookin’ pretty!

Beckett and I call this my “H&M” face.

To try this look, I recommend a skirt with a long slit like I mentioned above. Wear short shorts underneath if you’re concerned you might flash someone! 🙂

Then add a bootie with a bit of a heel. The heel doesn’t have to be too tall, but this type of skirt needs a little height to elongate your body. Otherwise you’ll look short and stubby.

Coordinate your purse with the outfit or shoes and you’re set!

Have you tried this baggy look this fall? Would you?
