the ‘torian trend

As you can see from yesterday’s post, I’m all about the Victorian trend right now. So I threw together a look that is Queen Victoria approved… or maybe Kate Middleton…? (I wish).

Top: Soprano (similar) || Skirt: Gina Tricott (old, from Sweden) || Shoes: Rock Studs (Valentino or GoJane) || Purse: Old (thrifted) similar here || Jewelry: brooch is an antique, earrings from Nordstrom
Top: Soprano (similar) || Skirt: Gina Tricott  (old, from Sweden)– similar black skirt || Shoes: Rock Studs (Valentino, Wet Seal, or GoJane) || Purse: leather, but old & thrifted (similar here & leather one here)|| Jewelry: brooch is an antique, (similar) earrings from Nordstrom

I linked a few options above for this outfit for those of you who like the pieces shown. You can also see some other options in my last post, “victorian victory or repulsive repeat?”

Would you wear a  brooch as a hair accessory? How about on the collar of a blouse? Let me know your style in a comment below!

[I will do a tutorial soon on how to make a brooch double as a hair accessory.]

This closeup really doesn’t do this pretty hair accessory/brooch justice. ^^
