I hope your Christmas was as happy as ours! We had a super fun time at my parents’ house where we played with Kota (our sweet pup) on the lake and hung out with my siblings. We also did a gift exchange with the hubby’s family where my super sweet mother-in-law gave me this Topshop cape because she noticed my belly is getting too big for my usual coat! Embarrassing. But I truly love this cape she picked out for me because it is so easy to put on and it’ll fit no matter how big this little one gets.
These boots are my favs. I saw them a few years ago from Piperlime and absolutely had to have them. I call them my Carrie Underwood boots because they remind me of something she would wear, but they are really difficult to match to an outfit. I usually pull them out at New Years (and sometimes Christmas) because the studs (and spurs) make them really difficult to match to an outfit. So this year I plan to wear them out on New Years with a more casual outfit like this sweater + legging combination. Do you have any special New Years outfits?
Tip: Wear statement pieces like these boots with a very limited color palette & simple pieces to keep them looking classy– not gaudy.
Have a great day!
