stuck like glue


Hey babes, it’s been awhile since I last posted because… frankly… I’ve been way too busy to even think of it! But now that I’m back I HAVE to show you my cool new stickers. Yeah, that’s right… STICKERS! 🙂

Today I get to show you what a company called Sticker App helped me make. If you’re a longtime reader you may remember their sister company, Case App, and I’m obsessed with both! I use my phone case daily and am glad it’s so sturdy enough for a clumsy girl like I!

I made my stickers as a branding tool for my art/blog. I plan to put them on the backs of paintings/drawings I’ll sell this summer at art fairs. But besides these stickers being great for small businesses like mine I think custom stickers would be fun kids’ birthday party favors! Or you could get stylish stickers printed to label your baking ingredients in your kitchen.

How I made my own stickers:

1- I drew a flower in InDesign and added a bunch of polka dots and a pink background. After that I added my fancy gold text. If you’re not sure how to get the gold effect, this YouTube video is how I learned. You could also draw something on your phone or tablet OR draw on paper and photograph it… so don’t worry if you don’t have InDesign or Photoshop.

2- Save the file as a .jpg

3-Make sure the file isn’t pixelated by printing it as a 1×1 or 2×2″ from your printer.

4- Go to this custom sticker page and upload your file.

5- pay & then wait a few days for it to show up at your door!

how to wear a camo tee for spring


Hi gals! Today I’m sharing how to wear camo for spring! Camouflage is usually a fall looking print because of the neutral colors, but I wanted to show you how to style this classic closet staple for spring 2017!looking-down

Styling Tips:

Add a colorful statement necklace and matching studs OR statement earrings and a delicate necklace. Try matching your eyeshadow OR lipstick to these accessories (but don’t match both eyes and lips).

a spring favorite you needed… yesterday!

Jumping for joy because it feels like spring and because the shirt’s ruffles look so cool when they’re fluffed up! 😉

This shirt is so inexpensive ($14!!!) but it looks like it’s designer because it fits perfectly and lays so nicely on the shoulders.

When ordering from this brand, don’t forget to order at least one size up. Most everything on this site runs small and I’m wearing a large and it fits me perfectly (I’m usually a 4-6).

This one shoulder shirt trend is so fun and to me it looks pretty classic, like something Grace Kelly would wear. It’s also easier to wear than the off the shoulder trend that was so big these past two years.

…3 reasons to shorten your workout… & 6 moves to get you in shape… fast!


Healthy & Fit Series: part 1

Hey beauties! If you’ve just come across my blog, TheClassyArtist, welcome! My name is Kellie and today I’m sharing my latest athleisure obsession, along with my all-time favorite workout routine! When planning this series of posts, I really wanted to be useful to you by showing you cute workout gear, as well as helping you to start getting “beach body” ready!

First off, my workout gear is from All For Color, a clothing line that carries super cute (and colorful) swimwear, activewearclothing, and accessories. Their clothes are great quality and I’m especially liking their color palette & prices!

The workout below is basically the only workout I’ve done since having Wolfie (besides going for walks) and I think it is really helpful to tone the muscles and feel good throughout the week.


3 reasons to shorten your workout:

  1. You still get most of the benefits from a less strenuous, longer workout. The goal is to do as many high intensity actions as possible in about 8 minutes. This way of working out is also sometimes called HIT (High-intensity Interval Training) and has been shown to improve muscles just like longer, less strenuous exercises do (like running). Many fitness programs (for example, the latest P90X) have caught on to this type of workout because it really works!

2.  It’s more time friendly. I like to think of it as a mom friendly workout because it’s so short, but I’ve been doing this routine on and off for years as my go-to.

3. You can take the workout with you since it involves calisthenics. That means you can get a full workout using your own body weight instead of buying an expensive gym membership or costly equipment.


my favorite moves:

I got most of these out of a fitness magazine while I was in college. It was one of those, “look good for summer in less than 4 weeks!” articles. I laminated the page and did the routine at least 5x a week. I love this workout so much that I also took the page with me to Sweden and did it outside of my apartment building each morning.

Feel free to switch out moves as needed. This doesn’t get every muscle group so you’ll want to add in your own moves sometimes.

move 1- Ab clapper.


Sit with your legs out in front of you, tighten your abs, reach your arms out like wings, then keep one hand in place as you bring the other to it. Make sure that after each “clap” you put both arms out like wings again. Repeat rep 10-12 times for each side.

move 2- Be the board.

Sorry there’s no gif for this… I forgot about this move while we took the pictures, but it’s a must-do! Also, you’ll probably want to drop to your elbows.

Think your basic plank. Then, move a leg up and outward, away from your center, bring the leg back to the middle and start again. The key to this move is speed and muscle control. Repeat 10-12 times per leg, while holding a continuous plank.

move 3- Dead dog.


Lay on your back with your arms and legs in the air. Move legs and arms outward simultaneously, then bring together. Rapidly repeat 10-12 times.

move 4- Side ups.


Start in a side plank position. With muscles tightened, move hips up and down from the ground 10-12 times. Repeat set 5 times.

move 5- Long lunges.


These are regular lunges, but you’re going to do 40 of them quickly.

move 6- Jumps for the lumps.

This move is literally just you jumping like a kid. Try to switch it up sometimes too. Maybe some days you try to get your feet high, the next you see how high you can get your knees, and the next you stoop way low after landing and jump again. See which is harder and work on that. Do 10-12 jumps really fast without stopping.

move 6- Burpees.


You know the routine. As fast as you can you will lurch down toward the ground, plant your hands, jump your legs back so you’re in a plank, bring your knees back in toward your chest, squat, and then jump in the air as hard and high as you can. This is where the real magic is. Once you do 10-15 of these, you should have no energy left. That’s how you know you’re done!

The silky fabric is so comfy to wear to bed so I wore it as a nightie, but it’s not really meant to be a pj outfit. I can’t wait to wear it this summer over a swimsuit or with a eyelash lace bralette (for a little extra coverage in the chest area) on those summer nights out.

It could also be cute with a plain white tee underneath ($7) or something with a crisscross front.

I’m tall with a long torso so I ordered size Large so it would fit in the length. Order what you think will fit your body length (not your normal size because the elastic waistband means that it fits lots of different body types.

The front is a little too revealing for me so I wouldn’t wear it out without something underneath, but that cut is in style now. I’ll show you how to wear it in a less revealing way once it warms up a little around here!

Happy Monday! Anybody know where I got the title of this post? It’s such a silly song, but I love jamming out to it in the car! lol

Laughing because Beckett was making funny– yet slightly inappropriate jokes– as usual. 🙂

We finally made it back to church this morning! Beckett didn’t have to work so we were so excited to actually go worship God and be with other adult human beings who share our faith. A double win! We could hardly contain ourselves the whole time because we were so thankful to be there!

Then, after we went to lunch with Beckett’s sister & ended up having to scarf it down because we had an appointment to catch!
