Real Recipes for the Real Girl: this week in meals

The Classy Artist Meal Plan 2

Lunch: Avocado Toast – Just make toast, fry an egg, butter the toast, cut up an avocado, and put it all together. It’s amazing!!!
** This post is coming at you a little late today so skip the lunch idea or substitute it for another lunch later in the week.
Supper: Follow the directions on the packaging to bake the chicken. Also add any leftover corn and bean salad from last week’s meal plan. If you didn’t see that recipe, here it is again.
Make brownies for dessert. I don’t see anything wrong with box brownies, but if you’re looking to make them from scratch, this is a recipe I pinned and would love to try! I’ll let you know if I do 🙂

Lunch: Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup, side salad, and apples.
Supper:Homemade fried rice and yummy beef dumplings (aka pot stickers) with leftover brownies for dessert.

Lunch: Loaded spinach with fruit, cheese, and your favorite dressing.
Supper:Lasagna (I leave out the fennel) with leftover brownies and fresh fruit.

Lunch: easy peasy! Leftover lasagna, veggies with dip, and fruit.
Supper: Follow the directions for preheating and timing enough frozen chicken for your family (or just you). Then pour in rice, 2 parts of water for each part of rice you add, and that apricot jelly from the shopping list. Cover and bake it as directed (until a food thermometer says it’s ready too)! It turns out to be a very yummy meal without a lot of prep time.

Lunch: Sandwiches made your way with whatever toppings you like. Just be sure to heat the lunch meat in the microwave until it’s sizzling if you’re pregnant!
Supper: Baked Mac n cheese with Rice Krispie bars for dessert.

Lunch: Leftovers
Supper: Seared steak (cooked medium-well) with rice and broccoli. I like to make my rice and broccoli in my rice cooker/veggie steamer combo. Otherwise you can make the rice and broccoli together in a pan following the directions for rice on the package.

Lunch: Leftover steak with a side salad.
Supper: Brats and fixings. Layered peaches and cream jello for dessert!

I planned to make the jello to show you, but this weekend was so busy with my cousin’s wedding, family, and a Father’s Day lunch that by the time we got home last night I couldn’t get myself to do any cooking whatsoever!
On another topic, here are two adorable pictures from my weekend:

How was your weekend?! Did you do anything fun?
