camel stripes

Merry Day after Christmas!
We had a good time visiting my family this week and enjoyed getting to see some of the cousins, aunts and uncles, and grandparents who we don’t get to see regularly. I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating and that you are filled with hope and joy as we get closer to the new year.I absolutely had to share this outfit idea because stripes and leopard are my favorite patterns of all time. So I naturally think this is a shareable outfit!
I also needed to share the outfit because I’m collaborating with Romwe again on this! I’m honestly obsessed with their stuff! Especially their selection of classic pieces, which if you have spent any time on their website you know they carry a lot of trendy stuff too, but I’m never disappointed by their selection of classy clothes too.
Anyway, back to the sweater topic: I love this particular sweater because it’s a camel/caramel color with ivory stripes… acombo will never go out of style.if you’re in the market for a sweater like this, you should also know that this is a one sise fits all sweater, meaning it will fit different people differently. I am 5’9″ and weigh about 140 lbs right now. So it fits normal on me, but if you’re smaller it may look oversized or vice versa. my jacket is from two Christmases ago and I’m still loving it! It’s Via Spagia, but I found a similarly lovely one by Cupcakes and Cashmere that I’ll link here in case you’re interested! My scarf is Burberry, bag is Kate Spade (a favorite of mine), and my jeggings are American Eagle— as always!
We took these pictures on the same day as I took the above photo, so I thought I’d share my makeup look with you too! I did a little bronzer on my cheeks and then added it to my eyes like eyeshadow. I kinda liked the look so I wanted to show you!
I also added a nude lip from the Maybeline super stay line and it looked complete! I gotta say, I love that super stay matte lipstick. It seriously stays on all day and doesn’t get weird (bumpy) unless my lips are dry and cracking. Otherwise it stays on super well and I don’t need to reapply until the evening.

Friday Basics

Hey ladies, I’m so excited to show you these three outfits because I would wear any one of them any day of the week. I especially love the preppy look of that first sweater, but I’m always down for a pink girly sweater or a classic ensemble with a creative vibe. Each outfit is super affordable too!
Take your pick….

The of Duty Model:

The Perfect Fall Shoes: 2 ways

These shoes are by far my most wearable Fall 2017 purchase & I highly HIGHLY recommend them for comfort and style. They are a great camel-colored suede leather, which “fall-ifies” the summery look inherent to espadrilles. Literally the perfect shoe for this weird in-between weather!
I wasn’t necessarily going to give these shoes their very own post, but after getting zillions of compliments and questions about them (as I go about my day), I knew I had to link them here STAT! 🙂
Details: shoes are Sam Edelman from Bloomingdales. I got them for around $60 and was able to use a gift card Beckett got me through our credit card rewards.
Shopping tip: using credit card rewards is a great way to get to shop while on a budget!

dress: Shein (worn as shirt) | shoes: coach or similar with flowers | pants: shopo, similar Levi’s here |earrings: sugarfix from baublebar (as seen below– got a few DMs about them on Instagram so I thought I’d link them now). This outfit is what I brought on our Door County family trip to wear on Beckett’s and my 3 year wedding anniversary date. I actually repeated this outfit a few times over the course of the week because it’s so comfy and easy to wear. The top is great as a shirt or a dress for most people, but because of my height it looked a little risqué without pants. I’m wearing a size medium and it’s baggy (how I wanted it) so it fits pretty true to size.Beckett and I kept trying to take pictures of this outfit at dusk and they didn’t turn out so finally we took them outside the house under a light and they turned out kinda interestingly. Then Beckett started getting a little creative with the poses he was telling me to do and we ended up with this! Let me know what you think of it in the comments below:)

This shirt/dress is a little low cut, but wearing it with pants helps to keep things classy.

Here is a picture from our anniversary date! It was such a great night out with my husband and it was so sweet of Beckett’s Mom and sisters to watch Wolfie for us so we could go out!

We ate at Alexander’s the got coffee and ice cream as we walked out to a pier and around a little tourist area. It was magical!

BTW- Isn’t my husband cute?!
